Erectile dysfunction- an impotence problem

Impotence is a vastly encompassing term used to define the failure to achieve and maintain an erection, the lack of sexual desire and problems with ejaculation and orgasm. Problems in achieving and maintaining an erection are known as erectile dysfunction and do not necessarily indicate any lack of desire for sex. Erectile dysfunction is more common than impotence, as most men are sexually aroused and are able to reach climax but the incapability to achieve and maintain an erection is the only problem they encounter.

Drug therapy for erectile dysfunction treatment

A few years ago, men suffering from erectile dysfunction treatment had no other option but to opt for penile injections or surgeries. The introduction of Viagra changes all that. This oral pill changed the way the world deemed erectile dysfunction and treatments for it. Drug therapy is an easier option for erectile dysfunction treatment because it is far easier to administer than penis injections and more user friendly than vacuum pumps. Moreover, oral medications have been clinically proven to be successful in more than 70% of men.

Cialis

Cialis is the most popular drug these days. It starts working in 30 minutes and lasts for 36 hours. This is so far the highest efficiency record, as other drugs take approximately an hour to start working and remain in the body for up to 4 hours only. The active ingredient in Cialis is tadalafil, which belongs to the same class of medications that sildenafil (active ingredient of Viagra) and vardenafil (active ingredient of Levitra) belong to.

Why Cialis over Viagra and Levitra?

Cialis removes the need of planning sexual intercourse, as it works faster and stays longer. Moreover, Cialis comes in lower dosage forms, which connotes lesser chances of side effects. If you take Cialis, it will make sex a pleasure and not a chore, as you won’t have to plan for sex and can relax while the medication takes effect.
